What is Organic?
Organic produced are grown without the use of chemical fertilizer and pesticides, with healthy soil where the farmers build the soil using composted matter and crop rotation. The organic approach to weed, insect, and plant disease control is knowledge-intensive rather than technology-intensive. The main goal of organic farming is to maintain a healthy soil that is sustainable.
